Community Impact Fund

By donating to our Community Impact Fund you are investing in something bigger. You are providing vital funding to help ensure everyone in Mesa County has the opportunity to reach their full potential. The Community Impact Fund is the best way to help the most people, helping support 25 local health and human service programs run by 19 agencies right here in Mesa County. Services offered by these programs help thousands of your friends and neighbors every year.

Dozens of volunteers, people like you, serve on our community investment panels each grant cycle. These panels review the grant applications from the agencies and make on-site visits to help determine which programs are most effective and efficient at delivering services our community needs.

The United Way of Mesa County grant cycle determines which nonprofit agencies in Mesa County will receive funding from our Community Impact fund.

Allocation Panels review funding applications and make site visits to each program that applies. Funding recommendations are made to the United Way of Mesa County Board of Directors for approval.

If interested in serving on an allocation panel for the next grant cycle, please email impact@uwmesacounty.org.

Grant Cycle Information:

FY 2025’s application window is closed. Grants this year are for one year (July 2025-June 2026)

To be invited to apply for 2026 funding, organizations have to become a part of the Community Partner Program by the November 30, 2025 deadline.

Community sourced allocation volunteers will be trained in early 2026 to review and make decisions on grant applications. The United Way of Mesa County Board will make final decisions at their board meeting in May 2026. Payment of grants will be made quarterly beginning July 1, 2026.
