Resource Center

We are proud to support the Resource Center for the unhoused in Grand Junction, a joint project between United Way of Mesa County, HomewardBound of the Grand Valley, and the City of Grand Junction. This center provides essential services and support to individuals experiencing homelessness.

The resource Center is a day-use center for our unhoused neighbors to:

  • access community services & resources
  • a central place to find food and clothing donations
  • access pathways to heath care, career training and services
  • stay warm and dry during the day
  • take a shower and use the restroom

Services are provided in a hard-sided pavilion that can be cooled and/or heated depending on the weather. The center operates with low barriers to entry and includes portable restrooms, showers, and opportunities for meals to be provided– along with a centralized space for service providers to offer resource navigation for unhoused community members. All guests must check in upon arrival at the center and follow community guidelines to utilize the resources within the center.

United Way of Mesa County and HomewardBound provide professional staff at the site during hours of operation and work with a collective of other service providers, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to provide services for those in need.
