Pet Assistance 4.7.25

The Street Dog Coalition provides free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness via pop-up clinics. Free services include: physical exams, core vaccinations including rabies and parvo, fleat/tick prevention and pet food/supplies (when available). Services offered while supplies last and time allows. Limited to 2 pets per person/family. Dogs should be on leashes and cats in carriers. Service provided in collaboration with Roice-Hurst Humane Society, Fruita Chow Down, HomewardBound of the Grand Valley and United Way of Mesa County.

HomewardBound has a case manager available for resource navigation, housing resources and other services for guests at the RC to access.

Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm
Service include basic first aid, health education, disease education/management, clarification of an established medical diagnosis, referral assistance for additional medical care, vital readings and limited over-the-counter medications.
